Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) 19 November 2020 decided that natural CBD products are not narcotic. The Court ruled that products containing CBD, if they contain less than 0.2% THC, could be freely distributed throughout the EU. They cannot be subject to any bans because it is not a drug. Any ban or distribution of CBD products in Europe runs counter to the general spirit of the United Nations Convention, which aims to protect human health. CBD, unlike narcotic THC, has no psychotropic effects and cannot cause any adverse effects on human health, says the European Court of Justice.
